  • “Porterhouse Jive” won the Vonnegut parody competition conducted by the Denver Mayor’s Office, 2007, and was published in Westword
  • Spirit Rocks won a Silver REMI Award for dramatic screenplay at the 2008 Houston Int’l Film Festival and placed in five other screenplay contests
  • Parnassus On Wheels, an adaptation of Christopher Morley’s 1917 comic novel, placed in four screenplay contests
  • An early draft of the novel, Mortal Weather, was a Semifinalist in the 2020 University of New Orleans Press Lab fiction competition
